The N15 tank engines (along with the N14s) were synonymous with Eastfield on account of the banking duties they performed up Cowlairs bank. Here we see 69212 with a few details which the modeller can take note of, including the rivetted smokebox, the handrail and two steps on the rear of the bunker, the additional support bracket between the two rear steps, the small step on the footplate at the entrance to the cab and the additional vertical handrail at the rear of the coal bunker. It is also worth noting that the balance weights on the central driving wheels are not in the same position as those on the front and rear wheels. In the background we can see The Great Marquess.
