L07: N.B.R. / LNER J32

Ian Terrell has kindly done the the artwork for the etches and Pete Westwater has kindly made the majority of the patterns. The chassis will be in 18/1000 Nickel Silver and the body in 15/1000 brass. The kit will be supplied with all castings, handrail knobs, bearings, handrail wire, glazing, electrical wire and screw-link couplings as well as fully illustrated instructions. The buffers have turned brass shanks with fully sprung steel heads of the correct diameter. There will be the usual lost wax brass castings including Brake Standard, Cab Dials, lock-up safety Valves, Clack valves, Steam Keys, Regulator Handle, Smokebox Blower Valve, Smokebox Door Handle, Steam Injectors, Washout Plugs, Westinghouse Pipes, Whistle and tender axle boxes. The remaining whitemetal castings include chimney, dome, round safety valve base, smokebox door, sandbox lids and backhead. All of the etches will be re-tooled after 'lockdown'.

This is the test build of the J32 in the early stages of construction with the fittings sitting in place - please note that the fittings shown in the photograph are the original patterns produced by Pete Westwater and the castings provided in the kit will be a mixture of lost wax brass and white metal.
